Got my paycheck and need advice on new muffler
Well I'm 17 and I got my paycheck for 230$ and I want to upgrade to a better muffler for my 07 v6. right now my car is bone stock and I want to start upgrading. I'm staying single for now but in the future, I'll go dual. I want a muffler that sounds deep. and that has good reviews. What would you recommend me getting? Wheres a good place where I can buy a muffler?

If you are going duals in the future ... don't waste you money on a single .. just save and get the duals. If you insist on something single ... just get a set of GT take-offs and put one on .. You can then use the other one when you go dual ... or just throw them away when you go dual and not lose too much money. if you buy one of those $200 single V6 performance muffer you won't be able to sell it later ...

+1, if you're definitely going with duals in the near future, it might be a good idea to save the cash for now and just buy duals down the road, or like dmhines said, buy GT take-offs and just put one of them on for now until you can buy the rest of your dual setup.
If however, you must have an aftermarket single now before you get duals, I would recommend the Flowmaster AT. That's what I had before I switched to duals, and I was very happy with it for a single muffler. Not too expensive, and it's nice and deep and loud sounding, very mean for a single. My Flowmaster AT got a lot of compliments and turned a lot of heads when I stomped on it, and I was very happy with it overall. |

def go duals but if you dont plan on switching for a while i'd go with a MAC axleback muffler for single
type it in under youtube to see how mean it sounds |

Like others have said, if you want to eventually go duals either buy both mufflers now and save the other or just wait until you're ready to convert. There's also the possibility that you might want a single now but then want duals later. If you just want a single though, you have options. My personal recommendation would be either a Flowmaster 40 or a single Ford Racing GTA. I think that's the best all-around way to go for a single. But if you want cheap and subtle, there's the GT take-off. If you want loud and attention-getting, there's the MRT AeroTurbine.

RE: Got my paycheck and need advice on new muffler
Thanks for the help. I just looked on the back rear and there is no cut-out for a another exhaust. Will a muffler shop cut it to install duals? How much would it cost to get duals? I most likerly want gt-takeoffs or like victoria said the mrt aeroturbine. If I were to get the aeroturibe, I would go single because they cost alot. the gt-take off mufflers are cheap and If I were to go duals I would get gt takeoffs.
What im saying is I would absolutely love getting the mrt aeroturbine muffler just for single. For duals I would get gt-takeoffs. |
RE: Got my paycheck and need advice on new muffler
if you just got your paycheck, I assume you are going to work to collect another one... So... if you really want duals... just save that money.
230 should get you about 4 tanks of gas |
