I know at around 450whp on my stock motor/Vortech combo I was having no problem beating LS2 Corvettes.
LOL I'd hope you wouldn't have any problems with an extra 110 to the wheels over the Vette.

Sure, and it's only worth mentioning because even with the extra whp, they are still lighter. Just trying to give him somekind of barometer. Oh, and it keeps some Vette owners awake at night knowing there are some Mustangs out there just sticking it to them. Hopefully their sense of humor can remain intact.

Maybe (and this is just me), but if I owned a stock C6 I wouldn't be butt hurt over a car that had a s/c thrown on it beating me.

Me and a few friends went to the track a few years back, and watched a couple of bolwn/built Foxes go at it. The slowest pass of in that competion was 11.04 or so..

We all lost sleep that night thinking about how fast they were..

It still gives me nightmares to this day

Does anyone have sleeping pills?

I've never seen a bolwn/built Fox, but I hear they're fast. Try counting sheep, and lay off the Lunesta.

lol.. yes those are the curb weights... only way to fairly compare...

I know my Cobra beat the pants off of a couple of LS2s.. and that was when I was 480rwhp... i mean - not even close.

I would hope so...140rwhp advantage kinda helps huh?

You would be a better match for a stock Z

These comparo's are a great measuring stick to a stock C6 thats going to give the OP a good idea of his chances......450whp GT and a 480whp Cobra..

It's more like overkill to me......But the saying goes, The modded Mustang will hit the 1/4 quicker, but the stock C6 will drop the panties quicker...

I'd like to know what the car ran with 480rwhp....I've raced a few 460-480rwhp Cobras when I was only 390rwhp and beat the **** out of them....I mean....not even close.

Thats a good one - I don't know my pants come off pretty quick...   If anything we will just run from a dig and maybe a roll.  But if from a roll it would be like 30 mph so I am just about in my boost.  Either way we won't go crazy maybe to 80-90 mph on an open stretch of road....

Since we're all posting useless information, I beat a bolt on/pullied Cobra when I was stock...I mean..it wasn't even close.

I know a guy with 383rwhp in his Z06 that went 11.3 @ 123mph...  what were you running with 390rwhp ? Pretty close?

My old 400 rwhp s/c'd Vert GT ran a 12.5 with a slipping clutch and it being short shifted (the guy I sold it to ran it).  I had a bunch of suspension mods and 4.10's to go with the blower.  I'm sure it would have handled a stock LS2 C6 until it ran out of gear in 4th.  Blow it away?  No.  But it should have taken one in a sprint to 100 mph.  After that, it would have been toast for the GT.

My brother had an LS2 C6 when I had my Mustang, but we never ran them.  I think he was scarred to lose to a crappy old Mustang.

Mid to low 7's in the 1/8th.....cam only and a manual.  On Nitto's.

I've got a video somewhere of me racing a 486rwhp Cobra when I was bolton only/auto/100 dry shot.  It was pretty close, I ran a 7.5x or so to his 7.8'ish.

well... My best was a 12.12 @ 118 or so (don't have the slip anymore) with a 1.89 60" before my port in 95 degree heat with high humidity (Florida is great for altitude but sucks for everything else in the summer), and while I needed a shifter quadrant... I could barely shift the thing... You can hear in some of my vids I lost an easy .5 on shifting alone it was HORRIBLE.

I went up against 3 C6 Z's... I beat 2 and lost to one on the street all 2nd and gear gear pulls... my 2nd win came after I ported my blower... but the wins and losses were all within a car..

ANd my post was to the guy that said this below.. I actually thought it was having problems beating them..

he has performance axle with a final gear ratio of 3.50 from the factory rather than the 2.73s this is an option from the factory but not in many automatics.
Umm....No vette comes with 3.50's. Ever. I'm pretty sure there isn't even a 3.50 ratio available. Either 3.23's (most likely) or 3.42's.

+1....I mentioned in a post on page 1 that a 3.50 ratio is one I'm not familiar with.....Good to see someone else chimed in to further my point..
