I have a 2000 V6 convertible and wanted to paint a few interior panels. How do I remove the door panels around the locks/windows? It seems like there is a little space to fit a flathead in to wedge out but I want to make sure. Also, the trim around the A/C and radio, then the trim around the shifter. Thanks. =)

the plastic panel that holds the window switches in can be popped out.  behind that are 2 screws that need to be taken out.  then you need to take the mach speaker out of the top corner of the door(if you have mach system).  the cover for that just pops off and there is a hole with a screw in it, then it just slides up and disconnects.  after this, you should be able to just lift the whole door panel up and it should just pull right off.

What about the trim around the shifter and the trim around the AC and radio?

Trim around the radio definitely does not just pop off. It had two screws in it and it still won't come off. Do I need to pull the radio/CD player out(I have the two single din version)?

Theres a small bolt anchoring the center to the dash, take the two radio units out and you should see it.
