how do you get the headrest off?  is there a catch somewhere? not sure if it makes a diff, but i have 92 gt vert.

Yes there is a catch. I played with mine for a long time before I could get it off. Just find something flat to stick down there and try to release the catch.

If you stick the hacksaw blade in the front side of the headrest, it will keep the crook from popping in the groove on the headrest mount bar. There is one crook in the top part of the spring and one crook in the bottom part of the spring. I suspect that it may be easier if you insert the hacksaw blade from the bottom on the front side.

My son tried one day for a half hour to remove headrest. I will tell him what you said
