is there anyway to check if a cd deck will work other than hooking up all of the wires??

put it in a bucket of water and check to see if it floats. If it sinks in water then it is bad.... Real bad.

Take it to your local stereo shop and have em bench test it itll take em 2 min

you can check to see if it powers up by twisting the red and yellow wires together, and then touching them to the + side of the battery and then the ground wire to the - on the battery.
