Well since you dont need a lot of bass id say get a good set of component speakers for your fronts along with a good 4 channel amp then maybe do subs 2- 10" and a class D amp later or you could do it all at once heres a setup for ya
1.)Alpine ida-x300
2.)Diamond Audio D3 500.4 4 channel amp $245.00
3.)Diamond Audio S500a $189.00 (awesome set of front speakers)
4.)Alpine Sps-600c (for your rear speakers)
5.)Diamond Audio D3 600.1 sub amp $245.00
6.)Diamond Audio D312D4.2 Subwoofers $258.00 (get 2 and make sure they are Dual 4 ohm subs so you can get them to a 1 ohm load )

TOTAL=$937

So you may have to get your subs later if all you have is $700 right now but trust me you would be more then happy with this set up. Diamond Audio has excellent sounding speakers I have them in both of my vehicles and I listen to every kind of music but they really do sound the best with music like Godsmack , Korn , Zombie ect....

But dont forget if your gonna have someone install this for you, you will still need to pay for a wire kit, install time and materials, and a box. And get a ported box that is what Diamond subs sound the best in.

Nobody loves diamond more then me but it might be a little over the top on a limited budget especially.

is the mach system lacking? Check out page 2 of my cardomain page as it shows how to integrate into the mach system. With a new deck and a little bit of tweeking you can make it sound clean and clear for everything except really low bass that you would find in rap, techno and the rest of the stuff you don't listen to. The only thing you might want to consideradding is a sub for thelowstuff the factory system can't handle, but even a single 10 and a small amp to power it will do and leave most of yourtrunk alone.

Well Diamond makes some great products I actually like JL subs and amps better but they are so damn expensive! And he has a small budget for his stereo

You could go for the DLS MS6A + nine.2 combo at eD for 375. Comes with the two comps, two tweeters, two crossovers, and a 2 channel amp for 375$
1 13Ov.2 for 70$
and then find a decent amp to power the 13Ov.2 (b-stock nine.2 goes for 185, dunno if it will be enough to power a 13Ov.2)
then use the rest on wiring and a box

dont worry about a rear stage unless you care about your back seat passengers enjoyment

ok i see alot of good info here. and its a big start anyone know about the eD stuff?
I went to there site and i am thinking that may be the way to go. So if you have eD comps and subs and so on could you tell me what you think of the eD line up? As in sound and there lifespan and so on? And the $700 is what i have for just now i am going to spend about $2000 when all is said. Sorry that i did not be more clear with that. *to much beer* lol

I'd do a 15" if you like metal. I just like the way it sounds, metal has alot more low bass than alot of people like to think. And this comes back to the myth that 10's are tighter, and 15's play rap low notes better. It's not really that, a 15" has more cone surface (Sd) it moves more air, so when you compare say a 10" and a 15" in similiar price ranges when a 15" plays a lower note with the same amount of power it's going to move in and out (excursion) roughly the same, but when your talking almost double the Sd, it again moves more air. The reason so many people go with 12" is because it, generally, is a nice average between Sd and excursion. Lately I have been looking at subwoofer woofer size selection as more of an eq choice rather than budget decision. If you like metal chances are your system is going to lack in the low end of the hertz spectrum, so getting a 15" that when it plays those lower frequencies will now have gained where it would commonly lack. If I were building say a system for someone who listens to 98% rap, I would get a pair of 10's in a large ported box, because there is a ton of mids in rap and hip hop, but most people that listen to it just want it loud as all hell. There is alotall those gangstasare missing out there because they want to rattle house windows everywhere they go. https://ssl.perfora.net/www.ficaraud...iew.shopscript

The stuff you were directed to on eD's site is a DLS component system,it's not made by eD, they just carry them. DLS is fantastic audio. If I am in the market for speakers I pretty much only look at CDT and DLS. Whetherits formy car, or for a friend.

Well if your gonna spend more later id look at it like this you already have a deck and your car already has speakers so go with what you dont have, some subs and a good class d amp. Personally id stay away from 15's ive had them and hated them but also we have small trunks! With that said go with 2 12" subs , whatever brand you go with make sure that the subs are Dual 4 ohm subs so that you can bridge them into a 1 ohm load to match whatever class D amp you get. Most class D amps are rated around 1000 to 1200 watts RMS so you should get a sub that can handle at least id say 600 to 800 watts RMS a piece. I have never heard CDT or DLS so I cannot tell you if they are good but like i said I like
for subs: Alpine Type X series, Diamond Audio, Arc Audio-Flatline series, Jl Audio w7 ,w6 or w3 are all good
for amps: ALpine PDX, Arc Audio Foose amps, Memphis, Rockford, Kicker, JL Audio
For amps no matter who you go with I would go with the companies higher end amplifers.
