Need some advice.

monolithkwm -> Need some advice. (5/3/2008 9:09:02 PM)

Has anyone done black bullitt non-deep dish 18x9 up front with deep dish 18x9 in the rear?  I found some at http://customwheelsmarket.com/cwm-18089123bred.html (non-DD) http://customwheelsmarket.com/fomubust18bl.html (DD).  Would this work or would it be retarded?  Id like to be able to rotate tires for economical reason so i cant do the 17x9,17x10.5 or 18x9,18x10 mix.  I plan on wrapping them in 275/35/18 Goodyear F1 All Season tires.

Thanks for your thoughs
Kyle

I don't think it will look bad, but just one thing that sticks out when I saw rotate. I don't think you are going to want to run DD in front and non DD in the back cuz I think that is where it might look "retarded". now if you get 18x9 and 18x10, it will end up being the same as the setup you mentioned. you can rotate them but you are going to have to change the back two tires maybe because of the tire rotation (don't know ir the ones you are planning to use are rotation tires). now I think that if you are conserned about tire rotation, i would stick with the same kind or wheel so when you rotate them you don't have to worry about it looking weird.  I don't know if i answerd your question but i hope this helps, if not im more than sure someone else will clear it up a little more.

Ahh sorry I did write it a bit confusing.  Im mostly thinking about doing this because of the tires.  They dont make them to fit 17x10.5 or 18x10 and weather here in washington warrents an all season tire as opposed to the summer tire options that are double the price in those sizes.  It seems like it would be a good compromise to get the deep dish in the rear and not the front like other setups.

It is a very common look to have staggerd wheels front to rear. Any Stang that wants to have 10"s or 10.5"s out back will NEED to have staggard and will be deep-dish if Bullits are installed. If you want to rotate all four tires without removing them from rims, you need to stay all 9" wheels. If you wanted to be able to go deep-dish in rear and STILL rotate tires by taking them off the rims, you need a tire that will fit BOTH 9"s and 10"s. In that case, you will have to go with 275/35/18"s or 265/40/18"s to work on both rims. The 275's would be a better choice, but will push the limits of clearance in front. I run 275/35/18"s on 9" rim up front, but have fenders rolled for clearance.
