Why when people post pics of their cars they blot out the plate number?

I mean....... whats the big deal?

I guess the reason is so someone can't track you down. You know, become a psycho stalker. The way the internet works now a days, if someone wanted to find you they would, regardless if they had your plate number or not.

haha someone asked this a couple of weeks ago in a photo thread and I was like thats a good question because I just blocked mine out bc everybody else's I saw blocked theres out. I'm going to post some pics tomm and I will leave the license plate visible.

I mean realy,, do you not drive down a public road everyday?
What about at the mall?
Or a bar parking lot?

I know I know and its even worse is I have a pretty cool vanity plate but didn't even think about showing it off
