Joel didn't pitch or field like that when he was with the Red Sox.

Great play. Just goes to show you that you can watch a lot of baseball games and still see something you've never seen before.

I have seen pitchers catch comebackers behind their back before. That's pretty amazing to see. But, it has tos*** to be the batter who hits a ball back through the box that has hit written all over it and then get robbed.

One of my other favorites was a pitcher (I think on the Mets...many years ago) who fielded a comebacker and it got stuck in the webbing of his glove. So, he ran over to first base and tossed his glove (with the ball still in it)to the first baseman to get the out.

Pretty sweet.

But nobody handles a comebacker like Greg Maddux. The man is stillwithout equal as the bestfielding pitcher in the game.

Too bad baseball sucks...
