Just bought a 2005 Ford Mustang GT, in screaming yellow with 18 inch rims and kenwood dvd,cd,mp3 player in it. Love it and had a question. the guy who owned it before had rims put on and tried using a cleaner to clean them and it had acid which caused it to have marks all over them. What do i need to do to make them look new again and shine???

Welcome to MF. If you want an answer you will have to provide more info, like what kind of wheels, are they chrome, painted, polished, powdercoated, etc. A photo would also be helpful to see what sort of marks you're talking about.

my guess as to what happened without pics is he sprayed on a wheel cleener and let it dry before sprayin it with a hard stream of water, usually you should wait no more than about 30seconds with those type of cleaners before spraying it down with a strong stream of water and drying them off, that is in my experiance anyhow, and that type of reaction with marking could happen with almost any type of wheel finish. as to how to fix it im open to suggestions too
