Agreed, that screams problems to me. I've seen too many believe that they can use one of those tools that they found in their garage or attic. Than come to me for advice or help to fix it. I'd rather apply by hand than use that. A DA will change your life, especially the Flex.

From what I can tell of the condition of your paint, the Light Polish is all that you will need to get started.
The kit does come with 3 pads, a light cutting pad, polishing pad, and a finishing pad. You will use the light cutting and polishing pads to put on polishes/swirl removers and the finishing pad to put on glazes,sealants, and waxes. I do recommend getting a couple of extra finishing pads so that you don't have to worry about stopping and cleaning the pads before you move onto the next product. I don't even use microfiber pads at all. The foam pads is all that you need.
