Saw this on AutoGeek site when looking for a really good wax/polish product. Anyone use it or feel it is worth the $175? Is this even real? Thanks. (Anything that compares?) I am thinking of getting it if it is really "the best".

A wax is only as good as the paint that it goes over. A good prep will make a good wax look great. Yes, Wolfgang Fuzion is an amazing wax and is a good investment if your car is in a lot of shows. However, I probably would not be able to tell the different between OD Wet Obsession and the Fuzion unless I saw a side by side comparison on a hood of a car.

Well, you get a "free" refill of that wax, so you're basically getting two tins of it and a "custom" wood box. Seems excessive to me unless you've got some concourse trailered car.

I'm sure Justin @ Obsessive Detail is shooting it to you straight on his products. I have yet to hear 1 single complaint about anything he sells. NOT 1 complaint.

I use other products....which I wont mention in this post......(I feel kinda bad not endorsing Obsessive Detail products here personally) I just use other stuff......and I'm completely happy.

I'd spend my $ on Justin's. I've used it and i've used some other high end waxes and it will easily compete with them. It has the depth, wetness and durability as any those you would consider to be high-end waxes.

Think of it as getting 3 cans of Justin's and about 90 coats of wax.

+1 on Wet Obsession. I plan on using this stuff when I've got the extra cash to order.

I love my car but not enough for $175 for a bottle of wax.

I used it, and the Pinnacle Souveran on my black Saleen.

For the money, I'll stick with the Souveran pure caranuba.

Go even try to find that stuff. That is by far the best wax for that kind of money, but you better have a way to get some if you want it.

For the next step down I'd use CG JetSeal as a bottom layer protectant with CG 5050 on top of it. That's a killer combo for the cost.

I have a Satin Silver 2006. Paint is in very good shape. Never clayed - I have used a number of high quality products (Klasse, P21S and most recently Meguiar's NXT Tech 2.0 liquid wax)

Claying cleans the paint. After clay, small scratches and swirls are going to be easier to see, so people typically will polish after claying, however you certain CAN clay then wax.

It works like this: claying cleans the paint, polishing... well... polishes the paint, or rather the clear coat, and finally, waxing puts a layer of protection over what you just did.

I would suggest that you not use anything more than a cheap Meguiars wax if you aren't polishing though because 75% of how the car looks will be dependent on the polish job, and only maybe 25% on the wax itself. Don't waste a ton of money on expensive wax and expect it to do it all for you because unfortunately it won't work and you'll be out a lot of money on the wax.

I would throw my Light Polish into the mix before you put on the Wet Obsession for the best results. The polish will take out light scratches and swirls plus prep the paint for the wax. You could also put on my Wet Glaze after the polish to add some more depth and wetness to the paint. This combo will look really deep and wet.

I've got better things to spend $175 on - I'd give my business to Justin ANY day....I have zero complaints in my experiences and have also heard not a SINGLE complaint from anybody else.

ive always done a non abrasive polish, then if i have some scratches/swirls i take care of those, then a sealant and then some pure carnabua the next day

Meguiars #16 has been discontinued for a while and now. The small supplies that can be found are a lot cheaper than that and are VERY similiar products. In my opinion are very similiar in depth, durability, etc. The price is the only thing different.
