So today me and a few buddys hit up sonic. On the way home I come up on another mustang gt. Same body style as mine. I have a 230 pound kid in the back seat, me and another buddy who are both around 170. The other guy also had 3 guys in his car, all smaller guys. So I drop in third and gun it beside him, he does nothing. A few miles down the road the road changes from 2 lanes to 1. Well at this point we are running around 55MPH and I drop her to 4th, could have went to 3rd but I figured he wasnt gonna do anything, well he guns it and so do I, I immediatly start pulling on him until about 100 mph and hit the brakes, I was about 2.5 or 3 car lengths when I shut down and hit the brakes. He flys by so beats me to the 1 lane but I would have blistered him if I had kept in it. Maybe he couldnt drive to good?
Well what gets me about it all is this, my car is a 99 gt and for whatever reason has a NPI motor, and yes it is for sure NPI I found out when changing the manifold. I have 4:10s, UPR O/R X Pipe, flowmasters, k&n filter and a tune. Not sur what else is done since I bought the car like this and havent done much to it. I think maybe an upgraded clutch since it grabs well and is a good bit stiffer than my buddys who have 04 gts. Me being NPI make me wonder if there is anything else done to the car or just me good driving and the rear end did it all?? When I down shift I give a good bit of gas to match the RPMS before releasing the clutch on downshift. What you think?
I'm not one to usually question runs or anything, But you were going 55MPH and dropped it to 4th? How would you make any pulling power dropping to 4th?

Yeah, I'm kind of wondering the same thing. I'm sure the 4.10's help, but I have 4.30's and can drop to 3rd while going 60. And how do you have a NPI motor?
somebody probably blew the motor in the car and went the cheap cheap way with a NPI haha, i only sold my motor for $200 for everything basically, with a new intake mani. on it (still npi though)

Got the vid, downloading the convertor to re size it and it will be up, the other mustang was a 99-04 my body style, not sure what year exactly? Maybe the guy was like me and went to 4th also lol, I guess that means we both suck, but like I said, could have went to 3rd, but it wasnt a big deal to me so I just hit 4th.
