Default rear end help

i am goin to swap out my stock rear end for a 8.8 rear end..and i was lookin underneath and it doesnt appear that it is taht difficult..but i was wondering if ne body else has done this..or no ne articles that might have some step by steps?

it appears the ill have to unbolt the sway bars..but what im not sure about is the shocks...do i need ne specail tools to undo the shocks and the springs? ne help would be apprecaited..thanks

Default RE: rear end help

Its just as easy as it looks. Unbolt the upper control arms, and the shocks. Before you do that put a floor jack under the housing, After unbolting the uppers and shocks lower it. The springs wqill come loose, Just pull them out. Then unbolt the sway bar and lower control arms. Then lower it right down!
