that amazes me that it is that quick around the ring...personally, my money wouldn't go towards a GTR...b/c if I had the money for a GTR, I would try and pull off the GT2...just not my type of car I guess
Im down at Nissan the day they come out!!! I just want to sit in one for a few minutes!!! I know 0-60 discussion is gay but 3.3 is a goof!!! And lets not forget that nobody keeps their GTR stock. Most R34 V-Specs in Japan run 800 to 1,000 horsies with a yawn. On Streetfire, there is a vid of a 1,000 hp R32 doing a 0-180 run..........one of the sickest ass vids Ive ever seen. How sick? launching around 7,000 rpm!!!!

The GTR and the GT2 are miles apart $ wise, it's not even close. But it matters not...I just reread all my drunk posts and appologize. I still think the GTR is the way to go but if my posts don't make sense credibility is lost. The GTR is going to run about 100K in Canada before the modding starts. Another 50K into that thing and it will be the epitome of a street/track car. And for half the price of his old Murcielago and for mounds less than a GT2. But it's not a Porsche. So ****ing what. Once you get past the pedigree and realize that it will perform better for less, and look far more exotic weeping it's track prowess ( I mean how discernable is a GT2 to the average hump?) the whole equation gets easier. The bottom line is, if I was asked what I'd prefer to blast around a road course for an hour in, a GT2 or a meniacle GTR with 50K well thought out dollars into it I would choose the GTR faster than a rabbit gets ****ed. Meh, maybe it's the boy racer in me. Or the desire to go faster better...

Uh oh, scandal! Modified suspension, cut slicks, a flying start, and a disputed start/finish. Those issues alone account for at least five seconds around the 'Ring.
The car looks great on paper, and the times it is getting are great, but all I have to do is look at its body and I know I would never consider buying one. When spending that much money it no longer becomes about who is faster(for me at least), but more about who has more class, and the GTR looks like a 350z or 'roids. Id rather have a Z06 or Porsche or any of its other slower but more attractive competitors. I will give credit where credit is due and say that it is one hell of a performer and has more technology in it than I could ever figure out how to use

ZR1 anybody? Have there been any official lap times yet? I've heard of 7.40 flat in testing (I think it was wet in the video I've seen) but any more recent news?

I've been pretty impressed with the GTR. The looks can kind of grow on you after a while and I imagine, like already stated, the aftermarket modding will make these things world beater beasts. I guess we'll have to wait and see how a stock GTR compares with the new vette ZR1. That baby sounds and looks wicked.

He looked at the GT2. Throwing 50K at the GTR seemed to be the more intelligent way to go when bang for the buck came into play. 70+50=GT2 eater last I checked...he can have a "look at my wicked new car party" for 100 and still come out ahead. GTR all the way BABY...
LOL.. I don't know what you're smoking but your posts are some funny sh!t.. stop bein such an abrasive nissan leg-humper and you MIGHT be more well received..
BTW, I think it'll have some competition once Aston Martin fields the V12 Vantage RS in 09.. Maybe not quite the corner hugging ability of the nissan, but less technology, a LOT more style, and certainly more luxury. But since we're talking perfromance, and the fact that the GTR's are fairly well priced as supercars anyway, I think I'll stick with the S7 and the 40th anniversary GT40 thank you.. Granted those would probably still have their asses handed to them by a CGT or a 911 GT2 on the 'ring, but they're good enough for me.
I knew baddog had to be drunk. Those were some funny posts.
No matter how much I try not to like Aston Martins, I just can't help but love the vantage V12.
