As much as I hate to do this, my baby has to go.  I am buying a house within the next year and the money I would spend to fix this car is not justifyable now.  She is a '97 GT, black exterior, greay leather interior, 76,xxx miles in Charlotte, NC.  She's up for grabs for $4000

Problems: Two dings, one on each door. I will get close ups of them if needed. The bolt connected to the crank pulley was put in incorrectly and stripped some of it. my mechanic rethreaded it and when he put it back on, it worked like a charm:)

I would simply love to just throw an MMR block in there and get some VT heads and cams, but like I said, that money needs to go to buying a house.  The engine is still good.  She pulls nicely, even for a non-pi.  I just need a car that is worry free now so I can concentrate on getting the down payment money together.

Upgrades are in the sig.  The suspension has Tokiko shocks and struts, Ford Racing lowering springs and sway bars in the front and rear.  It has a strut tower brace as well.  The front brakes are from the '01 Bullit kit.  The rear brakes have been replaced, but only with stock parts (new rotors and pads), about 500 miles ago.  The clutch has about 2k on it and believe me when I tell you, it works just fine.  It is the stiffest clutch I have ever felt.  The rear seat delete was done with some plywood and grey carpet.  I will get pics of that later, but it looks good:)  The only other thing to note is I have some Mac Ceramic Coated long tube headers sitting in my closet waiting to be installed.  You get those as well if you buy the car.  Any other questions, just PM me and I'll get back to you.

And no, I didn't put the Saleen stickers on it.

Yeah, I forgot about that one.  I'm in Charlotte, NC.  I'd put it in my profile, but I can't figure out how

I edited the first post, so you should read that. Basically, I took it to the shop and he found out it wasn't the timing chains at all. it was that crank bolt. He was right and the car runs as strong as ever! We put some Royal Purple oil in as well as a thicker additive, just to be safe.

I upped the price because The car still rins really strong and I also have quite a bit of time and money invested in her. That price is still lower than when I bought it WITHOUT the upgrades.

Pretty sweet deal, wish I had the cash on me, I'm only an hour and a half away.

Yup.  I thought there was something seriously wrong with the engine, but turns out there is not.  Every mechanic I take this car to tells me how healthy the engine is and I probably should have listenend to them  $4000 is a great price for this car, I think.

Also, if anyone wants to do a trade for a fairly new mid-sized sedan, I'll consider it.  We can work out a price and use the Mustang as a trade in.

It's not a question of IF, to be honest.  I know it will.  Keep in mind, I bought this car in October of '06 from a guy that lives in Michigan.  He trailered the car from there to Ohio and I took a bus up there.  I drove the car from Ohio to Washington DC, where I lived until December of '07.  During that year, this car made trips to Charlotte, NC and back twice a month; every month.  So there's nothing wrong with driving it on the Highway for long distances.

Yes, the air works perfectly.  As does the motor itself and the brakes and the suspension and just about everything else on the car.  I will say that it feels like the syncros are dying in the tranny, but then again, what Mustang doesn't have that problem?  I don't have a problem shifting/driving every day and I doubt anyone else will.  Give me a bit and I'll try to snap some pics of the rest of the car.

Ok, here are some fresh pics.  I just had the car washed yesterday, only to find out it rained last night!  So, sorry about the water spots.  Take notice to the dings on the doors as well as my removable vent:)  That thing stays in there just fine, but for some reason, can come out without too much effort:)

The MUSTANG stickers are starting to come off.  I just haven't spent the $10 to replace them yet

And no, I don't know why there is felt in the other one.  It was there when I bought it and the vent still works, so why mess with it?

A lot of these pictures show the imperfections in my 11 year old baby, so don't let the small things make the decision for you.  By and large, she's a beautiful car.  Any more questions or requests, just ask me.

Thanks a lot!  I agree it's really clean and I absolutely LOVE my car.  I do not want to sell her, but the smart decision must be made.  At least, I think it's the smart decision
