my guess is with a sixxer and TT, they will probably push between 330-380 hp.  i don't think that it will be maxed out though, i still think you will be able to **** with the boost settings and push more horsepower out of it.

i mean, they sold the terminator at its max potential, right? hgiaenkag

But the genius of a factory forced induction car, is less work tuning. Assuming Ford provides a *good* drivetrain platform, you can slap on two 50 trim snails, up the boost, tune it aggressively and have a car that makes 600whp.

Just because you throw the word "probably" in front of what you say doesn't mean you can't be wrong.  Look at the 03-04 cobra or the GT500, both those cars are all out performance vehicles, but both are not running at 100% capacity.  Almost no vehicles (except high end drag cars, formula 1 vehicles etc)  run at 100% all the time because that is an unsustainable performance level.  This means if you stay at 100% you will break something.  Yes, as usual, Ford would tune the car to perform well out of the box, but some aftermarket company will undoubtably come up with a better exhaust, intake, or turbo system for the engine.

The part where you implied that making a well tuned high-output V6 Gt was contradictory with the same V6 Gt still having easy room for improvement, from things like exhaust and CAI.  These two can both be simultaneously true, as proven by the GT500 and cobra examples.

sure..uh...you do know that the exhaust on the s197 is extremely efficient and exhaust mods on the new stangs are pretty much entirely for sound, not performance....and is cai on a twin turbo all that necessary to you? did you have a point or were you just looking to stay in the race and run a few extra laps?

I just read in my Car and Driver that Chevrolet is putting a 4 banger in the Camaro for a base engine. It will put out more hp than the Iroc-Z ever did. It will be a 2 liter direc-injected turbo with 260 hp. It's the same motor as the Pontiac Soltice and Saturn Sky. The 2010 Camaro will also be available with GM's direct-injected 3.6 liter V6 with 300 hp and a 6.2 liter v8 with 400 hp.
