Default 40th anniversary Shelby GT40

http://globalmotors.net/shelby-celeb...morative-gt40/

Ran across this while slumming in OT.. lol I llloooovvvveeee the way this car looks.. Lordy I would love to have one of the original Ferarri slayers.. [sm=drooldude.gif][sm=drooldude.gif] The interior actually looks fairly nice given what the car was originally designed for. For those that have actually seen one of the original GT40's it looks like a very good re-make of it. Supposed to be autographed by Shelby and entered in the Shelby registry. Too bad it'll be such a limited run, maybe 300 or so, which will make them insanely expensive, but if I win the lottery anytime soon I'll definitely be getting one.. LOL

They did a show on the speed channel. Think it was hot rod TV but the kit car is supposed to be better than the original car. Modern performance in a classic design. It was a pretty interesting show.

True, but I would think that since it's such a limited run vehicle it'd probably run in the 200k plus range at least. Hell I saw new ford GT's going for over 250k, and these are going to be a much rarer vehicle. Supposed to be a celebration of sorts for Shelby's 85th birthday methinks..

i saw that (the #1) at Fab Fords Forever a couple weekends ago, they started it, and it sounds as amazing as it looks. Bitch idled at 1300, and when he revved it up, it was almost instantly at about 6.5k

The original LeMans version had an insane redline that was something close to 8,500 I believe. The ford GT's aren't much further off of that I don't think. That 427FE in those things has the same kind of throttle response as the Ferarri V10's and 12's.. lol Talk about instant boner.. hehe..

Ok ok I know.. enough leg humping.. but I wwwwwaaaaaannnnnnnnnntttttttttt it!! LOL
