Not sure if this is normal but has been doing it since I bought my car. Have 2200 miles on it now and it clunks a little when i give it gas. I dont have to give it alot or anything. Just by letting off the gas and touching the throttle I will get a clunk? It doesnt sound to harmful but was wondering if it is the trans and if so would the k member brace w/ torque limiters fix it? Help Please!!!!

my 07 does the same thing. mine also sounds like a strut or shock is bad when i go over alot of bumps. took it to the dealer and they didnt see anything wrong.
That clunk is probably just the slop in the factory two-piece driveshaft. Do you notice the same clunk when shifting into reverse? It's not a problem, but a one-piece driveshaft should fix the problem.

A 1 piece driveshaft will get rid of almost all clunks, however, there is still some slop in the rear end.
Coastline and spyder shafts have gotten the best reviews. I believe shaftmasters have some good feedback.
Whatever you do, be sure to mark your stock driveshaft at the transmission and put the aftermarket one in the exact same orientation and I mean exactly. Just having it in the same holes isn't good enough. You need the new flange to be lined up just like the old. If you were to rotate the flange in the photo 90 degrees, you'd have vibrations above 70mph.

I took my '06 in because I was getting a Hissing sound from the rearend...figured it was some kind of backlash issue or something. Anyway, they took the rearend apart and said the pinion bearing was wearing in a strange way. They replaced it and the driveshaft...I had the clunking before, but I swear it's worse now. Are you guys saying the clunking is normal or is it harmful?
Chadlet if you replace it let us know if it stops the clunking, I'm getting tired of it.
Oh BTW, the hissing didn't go away...I'm taking it back in next week.

I will let you know. Should be installing within a week or so.
It maybe worth it to get a 12 inch 20-80 ft lb torque wrench. Trying to torque the bolts at the transmission flange with a long handled torque wrench is a royal pain. You'd have to jack the car up really high.
