Default TPMS Warning Light Question

I put on a set of GT take off rims on my 08 V6. I've been driving on them for a couple of days with out an issue - today however, the TPMS warning light came on. The light pattern indicates a malfunction in the TPMS - probably due to the rim switch out...according to the manual this will continue until the problem is fixed. Any suggestions on how to stop the flashing light in my instrument panel? Has anyone else had this issue? Thanks!

I dont think its "turn-offable"..

You just have to reset it everytime the light comes on..

The funny thing for me is that when I got my new rims from American Muscle, and didnt order the TPSM bands like I should have, I dont get any warning lights at all.. maybe you should just take them out?

You should be able to take your car to the dealer or a tire shop and have them reset it. Shouldn't be an issue after that.

Do the GT take-offs have TPMS sensors inside them?
If not you need to take your OEM tires/rims and get your
TPMS sensors out of them and put them in a pressurized
tube in the trunk.
If the GT take-offs have the TPMS sensors in them from another
stang, you will need to get them programmed to your SJB at the
stealership.
If the GT take-offs have your original TPMS sensors that Ford sold
you with the stang, I dont know.

I use my flashing TPMS warning as a'get the oil flowing'timer before taking off.

Do you have a good relationship with the dealership? If the TMPS is on the new wheels, it needs a "re-set." If the new wheels don't have sensors inside, then it is a bit trickier. My dealer traded my stock v6 wheels for a GT takeoff 17" set when I bought the car used. It took several days of my driving aournd to find out there were no sensors in the take off wheels. Dealer ordered me the sewt installed--all at no cost to me other than time. It is best to fin d out the real problem and go from there.
