Status: offline I'm looking for some new tires to replace my current ones. Size will be the stock 245/45R17 to go on the stock 17x8 wheels. I'm looking around the price range of $100 a piece, cheaper is better but I also want quality. I need these for only 3 seasons as I have winter tires as well. They need to be good on pavement, wet and dry as well as have good hydroplaning resistance. The tires I have no suck in the rain which is basically why I am getting new ones. I have looked at Nitto Extreme Performance NT555 which look good, anything better than these for the price?

I think Colin is going to be your best bet here. He knows tires, knows your budget and has a nice recommendation.

You can always go with a set of my PS2's for $1700+...........

Maybe not, so you may want to keep looking. Are the prices comparable to the other ones? Make a phone call to colin directly and talk to him about your options.

Status: offline For the price they make sense tho. $100 a tire is very cheap. Im looking for replacements for my 245/45/17's too, and i expect to pay under $200 a tire. and still not expecting any miracles.

Status: offline They are the highest level performance tire in that size at that price range. The next step up would be a hankook ventus R-S2 for about $20 more per tire.

Status: offline i have had pretty good luck with the kumho ecsta spt. have lasted me about 25000 miles and still going. wet weather leaves alittle to be desired, but i dont mind. price is good at about $100
