Default Lt header ground clearence?'s

Which would have the best ground clearence on my car with steeda sport springs? Stainless works, kooks, mac, bbk, American racing, hooker.... I want to add some to my car but dont know which will provide decent clearence and allow me to remove my trans w/o unbolting them. Thx

I think kooks & american racing are the best headers but kinda steep on the wallet. If you got the money i would go with them. You won't have any clearence issues with them 2 brands. IDK about the others. I helped my buddy put the american racing lts on his 04 mach1. The quality and fit is amazing. He has no clearence problems and he has h&r springs.

Hrrmm.. can't speak to kooks or american racing, but I've got the bilstein adjustables with SLP LT's on my 04 Mach and mine clear fine. I couldn't tell you about not having to unbolt them to drop the tranny, but I don't THINK the shop had to do that to do any of my clutch/flywheel/ d/s work.. I could be wrong there though..

from what i've read on the registry the slp and kooks hang the lowest.

This could be true, though I wouldn't know enough about the others to say. I've driven the mach on some of the crappier roads VA Beach had to offer and didn't have any problems beaning the headers on anything. Where I have to watch it is some of the steeper driveways/parking lot entrances, but usually if I go slow and don't gun it into the parking lot I do fine.

^^^R U on stock suspension though. Im leaning towards American racing, from all the pics Ive seen, those and Macs seem to provide the most ground clearence. I had a set of stainless works LTs to go on, but I sold them a couple of months ago (guy was beggn for them)...their quality was top notch too.

Meehhh, maybe not so much.I've got the Bilstein adjustable springs, shocks, and steeda LCA's at the moment. And chances are you're probably right about the AR's and the Mac's I just have never had them before so I couldn't say. But major ooouuuuccchhhh on selling the Stainlessworks LT's brudda.. i woulda held onto those, cause you're right, all of their stuff, as far as I've seen anyway, has been top notch.. If ya needed to ya needed to though. I might save up and get another pair of those if you can afford it. Though I don't think you'd go wrong with AR or Mac either..

MAc have great ground clearnce, but they are not the same qaulity as AR. I was reaserching headers and i was looking at macs, but i learned if you ever have to do the clutch or tranny while the macs are installed you cant. MAcs also make an ugly poping noise on when your slowing down or down shifiting.

full bolt ons minus headers and intake spacer. some suspension work, and a few appearance items = sex on wheels.

Yeah, I hated selling them too, but I got what I paid including shipping. I was thinking of either jba/bassani mid lengths (modified to fit the auto trans), but now Ive decided if Im doing headers again, might as well go with LTs. I did have jba mids on my old auto 02 gt that gave me 10rwhp/12 rwtq thru the pwrband and 7rwhp/6rwtq at peak so not to bad, probably not too far off from LTs actually.
