Hi,

I have a 72 with front disc brakes. I bought 14" magnum 500 rims but they did not fit. What size will?
Thanks

Sounds like the wheel hits the brake caliper? If so, how much larger to get clearance? Look at some larger wheels and try to stay similar (same if possible) in overall tire diameter . This will help keep good clearance as well as not throw your speedo off. If tires are larger, the speedo shouldn't be difficult to correct. My old '85 GT just needed a new speedo gear in tranny and took 1/2 hour and $10 to fix

Keep in mind, that the depth of the wheel can come into play.

I have 4 piston calipers and had to get a Cobra spare tire to clear as it hit the front of caliper as it was being installed. That is to say, the diameter cleared OVER the caliper, but was not deep enough and hit the caliper before wheel was seated onto hub. You may have to get a new spare as well so you aren't stuck on the side of the road one night
