I've looked high and low. I want a GT style honeycomb grill with fogs for my 6er. The only one I can come up with is the one from Blue Oval Industries but the lights are too far towards the middle for me. I know Street Scene makes one with the lights positioned like a stock GT grill but I want one with the honeycomb back. I checked everywhere, including ebay. If not, I'll go with the SS one but wow are they pricey!! Any ideas? Thanks, Bob
I have seen them when I was shopping for my new grill about a year ago. Not sure where, but they are out there. I went Eleanor because could not find the right OEM spacing for the GT/V6 look.
Nice find. I will have to bookmark that one. The OP stated that he has looked high and low. You would think that V6MustangStuff.com would have been the first place he looked. Sticking head in freezer for a while.
$489 gets you this grill, lights, factory GT headlight switch and wiring.
Thanks so far. Mr L. found the closest thing to what I'm after. That one is the same as the one from Blue Oval Ind. That's made by KS Reproductions in Jersey and is distributed to a whole bunch of places. They repop a ton of parts for all year Stangs. Looks like, after further searches, Late Model Restor. has what I'm looking for but $400, don't think so, for a piece of plastic, some wires and cheapo fogs. Just may try to make one out of a 6'er stock grill or just go with the Bullit look w/o the fogs. Thanks to all. Bob
Try these guys. I can't vouch for the quality except to say that I've seen them on eBay for a couple of years and I haven't heard of anyone complaining about installation or fitment. If you buy your own GT grille and try to modify it to fit your V6 I can almost guarantee you'll not be happy with the result. These guys have all the wiring and switch options included in the buy it now.
Redfire281, EXCELLENT!! Exactly what I was searching for, quality, look, and looks like a reliable source. Can't believe I missed that one. Looks like the one from Late Model Rest. but I am going to contact this source. Thanks so much for the link and info. Will be interesting to find out the mfg. if I can. Looked through pages of Google and ebay but apparently not thorough enough. Thanks again sir. My 06 is Redfire also! Bob T.
street scene used my car for the prototype for all of the v6 grills. the ony gt style grills they make are the mesh style. chrome , black powder coated (which i stll have in the box BTW) and the dull aluminum if i remember ( it was 2 years ago after all) mike then came up with the grill i have now. it has the honycomb but is the center style . the tooling for it is very expensive and the last time i was there he said he didnt think they would ever make a gt style in the honeycomb. i just sent him an email asking if he has changed his mind and ill post the answer when he replies. Mike is the owner of Street Scene and a very cool guy and a mustang owner himself. hope the info helps. Tom

Hey 157db!
Sorry to change up the subject, on your sig you have Airaid CAI listed. I don't see the CAI on your pic?
Have u installed yet??? The reason I ask is, I ordered an Airaid CAI and it will be arriving via UPS tomorrow (5/2/08). :-)
If you have installed the CAI, let me know your thoughts and feedback on the Airaid.
Also, was the installation simple? I am planning on installing myself.
I look forward to your response!

Maybe cram a GT grill into the V6 bumper?

Hey Tom (afixer), I thought I saw your car in an ad while doing a grill search. Same pic for a street scene grill ad. Congrats on that. I can't say if there would be a strong demand for what I want, but I put a request into KS Reproduction to add a more accurate GT style honeycomb grill to their choices instead of the one they offer which splits the difference between the center fogs and the GT location. It would be great if Street Scene could do this as I know they have a quality product, but again, don't know if it would justify a new mold or tooling. Then again, for a little more money, I could go with a GT takeoff bumper and grill and avoid all the mess but I kinda like the V6 style bumper covers. Thanks for checkin' out this with Street Scene. Like that yellow Stang of yours! Very nice. Bob

Yes I have had the AirAid CAI on there for about 10K miles or so. I didnt get the MVT model but one of the older "looks the same but no MVT plug" CAI. Its sounds mean and the install was simple. My DashHawk shows IATs of 5-10 degrees over AAT. Now for the B@M@ tune to make her wake up.
mike emailed me back and said they actually are on the fence and may make one. but by the time it hit the streets it would be next year i would imagine.
