HOW FAST IS THIS STI REALLY???

its an 04 STI with the following mods:

ported and polished turbo
downpipe with full exhuast, no cats
cold air intake
fuel injectors
eagle rods
25lbs of boost
100 shot of nitrous
intercooler sprayer

its claimed to be the fastest car in the area and is suppose to run 10.4's in the 1/4 but has never been to the track

Is his engine forged?

he has forged rods but thats it. dont know if it has forged pistons or crank stock. guessing it may since alot of imports seem to. lol.

lol indeed. I'd say it's definetly possible with those mods, given he makes it down the street without blowing his bottom end.

It's supposed to run 10.4s but its never been to the track? How did they come up with that number?

not sure how they got the number. just what he says it will do. everyone says its the fastest thing they have ridden in. supposively i will be able to give it a run since i will have over 800hp. they think it will still still take me on the street. they say its got a 300 shot to the intercooler. its a open line infront of the intercooler, i just call it a intercooler spray.

Yeah, it sounds fishy, but an STI runnin 25lbs of boost with a 100 shot would be SICK. If he can actually race it without having it explode then I would say its good for 10 second quarters... Actually I thought the stock STI turbo was rather limited in its power capabilities? Any turbo guru's out there wanna clear this up?

I just wonder how strong the drivetrain is. If it is ever ran at the track, to run that 10 second pass would probably need a high clutch drop to get things going on the launch...and etc. Does he still have the stock drivetrain?

MY GOD! A 300 shot?! With 25lbs of boost on a stock block! He has a LOT more mods than that. No chance a stock-drivetrain/block car is gonna handle all that power.

300 shot. which i saw is a line spraying to the outside of the intercooler... then its got a 100 in the intake. he says he can launch it at 5000 and when he gets on it it will spin all 4 tires. from what i have found online the stock turbo on a 04 sti is limited to 370 crank hp. not sure on the limit of a ported and polished one.
