ORIGINAL: spoke2go1 Im done with this teal piece of sh*t, 3 and 5 arent firing and its having to be towed back to MVPerformance tommorow so they can fix it. Ive spent $700 on an 02 V6 with 20,000 miles on it, $1,700 on having all the wiring and fuel lines hooked up and she still doesnt want to run! All I wanted was a sixxer vert that I could drive from point A to point B!!! My dads pissed because hes getting tired of there always being something wrong with it and me having to drive his truck or my moms car. Now hes agreed to co-sign on a newish car and of course Im looking for Mustangs. Im trying to keep it $20,000 or less and were gonna haggle it down to maybe 16 or 15. Heres what Ive found so far S197 Any problems with it? Is it a good deal? What can I expect? Do I have to get a big sig? This is why people said to drop in a 5.0, especially since there is no wiring almost, its not complicated, and it would cost almost nothing to do. IMHO I would really lean towards a 1993-1995 GT/cobra. I would kill to own a 1993 (especially teal) SVT Cobra, they have super low miles, and are going for 9-13,000 around here. Thats personally what I would do, especially since you get the hardened gears with the cobra, and GT40 Intake or heads (I can't remember which) I vote 1993 Cobra FTW

Im actually looking more torward the new edge gt's and s197 gt's. Hell Im even looking at s197 sixxers but only if their FULLY loaded, im talking satin aluminum EVERYTHING leather covered dash, chrome bullitts, spoiler, foglights the whole shebang. But anywho, Ive decided that I really want a 4.6 and I want it as new and unraped as posible.

I actually might be able to afford this, if I put it under my moms name the insurance is only $207.95 a month and the monthly car payment will be $349.75! Id be able to use my graduation money as a down payment and then Id start working for that dealership and bring in enough to make the car payments. Although I dont know where Im gonna get the money to mod it... because its definately gonna need a stereo, tint, rims and exhaust.

its not that we hate the car; they have in fact grown on me a lot its just that we keep gettin the stupid threads your noobs create exactly why i refrain from starting threads at all costs (risk of fail is extremely high for a newb), apology on their behalf is about the best i can do, Goodnight all... we dont want you to refrain form making threads if you make a thread in the s197 tech section, just make sure that its related to s197 tech, not "ZOMG I SAW A VID OF THE NEW ZR1 LULZ!!!" it's really not that hard and spoke, the s197 gt is a great choice. unless all you care about is going fast, then you're probably better off with a termi that got beaten on or a maro. but i' sure you'd like to look stylish and have a relatively comfortable ride as well, so i won't mention those

No one really cares if you think it's ugly. Those of us who own them feel otherwise. I think IROCS are for mullet wearing redneck douchebags, but I don't go on a Chevy forum to tell them. Probably cause they already know.
