Sorry i am not a frequent poster to the off topic section and don't claim to know anything about its members, I can only make assumptions. I am mostly in the classic section, I rather prefer it there. I found the video to be funny, interesting, and contain some facts. Sorry it was too low for your sophisticated intelligence :eek: I still try learn good english ( actually I just have a tendency of not checking my post for gramatical error:D)... UNfortunately I was not there, but I will research the matter and get back to you. From what I do understand is that The ship Liberty was bombed in what was said to be a mistake? From what I've gathered in speeches and debates between the democratic candidates, Obama seems to be by far the more intellectual one. His ideas are all hunky dorey in that he would like to improve our standing with nations across the globe. He wants everyone to be able to afford going to college, he'd love for the economy to rebound (though technically, it was a slow growth, not recession [8D][8D]).

His plans, or lack thereof however, turn me off completely. His voting record is among the most, or perhaps the most liberal of anyone in congress. If he's going to raise my taxes which he will, make it benefit everyone. Not just the poor who either can't or choose not to take care of themselves. Leave taking care of people to state governements.

McCain was my 3rd favorite (or 2nd least favorite) among the 4 possible nominations. Honestly, if the American people wanted the economy taken care of, why didnt they nominate Romney, I dont know.

He's not my first choice for president, but I'll vote for him before bleeding hearts Obama and Clinton.

I am proud of the rights we have but I am not proud of our current state of affairs. Where have we gone in the past 7 yrs? Two unfunded wars, hundreds of thousands of jobs shipped overseas, inflation on the rise, our civil liberties eroded, and a government that doesn't seem to give a **** about its citizens.

Just because you think you are superior does not make you superior in any way, expensive does not always mean better and this is true in some aspects of education. The school I listed above our schools for mostly the bitter and people who previously cosidered themselves superior, there are exceptions... If that person from Devry has a better political stance then Obama then definitely or even McCain for that matter, what gives you the right to say that if someone meets the qualifications and could do the job they should be excluded?

I was merely correcting you since I've never seen you around these threads before and you were making a real big generalization that is, unfortunately, a major issue in political discussions today (one that everyone, including myself, has to think about.)

And yes, places like those schools mentioned ARE filled with smarter people than an average college. That is what "admissions" are about; they look for people who get excellent grades in school (the sort of thing you can prep for,) excellent scores on tests (the sort of thing that is harder to prep for,) and who stand out in other ways (athletics, community contributions, and so on.) If you honestly think that people are the same across all colleges, you clearly have never met anyone who goes to a Cal Tech or MIT or any of the "big dog" schools. And if you take offense to this or are hurt by this, that is silly. No one is saying there AREN'T smart people at other schools. However, the ratio of smart to not smart is MUCH different at, for example, New Mexico State when compared to, for example, Harvard. Just a fact. Please don't be offended by it.

The point is I definitely don't see myself as superior to anyone because of the school I went to, To suggest that IMO is just arrogance I am sure that plenty of intelligant people do not go to the so called superior schools because they can not afford it.. Trust me i am not angry by any means, do I like to argue most definitely... especially when I see myself as correct.:D

Well I fully stand by my original post that said there are some ridiculously good points in the video, that is hardly an endorsement of the entire video, although i will admit i don't like te idea of a president with a muslim name.
