The whole point not to vote for him was not ecause he has three arab names, perhaps if you watched more than five minutes you would have known that... That fact that that makes you want to vote for him more is interesting, perhaps a presidential candidates background means nothing to you but it should. You are right what has America done thats good besides give you a good life, a chance to drive a mustang, security that a mortor is not gonna be dropped on your house, oh thats right and protecting Israel is wrong too or perhaps freedom that you partake of on a day to day basis sucks as well? America has its problem no denying that, but regardless they do more for the world than any other country. The problem is that people don't think about this kinda stuff and we could perhaps end up with a socialist, perhaps a communist president such as Obama.
Is McCain the perfect Candidate perhaps not but I definitely would feel more secure about the future of America with him rather than with either of the other candidates that are a complete joke. IMO ...

UNfortunately I was not there, but I will research the matter and get back to you. From what I do understand is that The ship Liberty was bombed in what was said to be a mistake? Hard to believe but it could be possible? I will have to look more into this? It still does not change the main point that America does great things and always will either be praised or chastised for it.

Intersting thought about Canada but I think the main reasons no one touches them or Mexico is because the U.S. would be so quick to interfere, it is not because they never get into peoples business, we have seen coutries in history get dominated for no reason, well unless you consider things like genocide a (good) reason?

all i know is univeral health care would suck, I don't want to have to wait for 2 weeks to get an appointment just because now EVERYONE can go to the doctor, and since they have that priveledge they will go for the stupidest things that don't need a doctor to be taken care off.

No country in the history of this planet has had as much power and wielded it more benevolently (sp?) than the United States has. We have fed and provided medicine for billions on this planet who otherwise would have gone without. We have lifted the yoke of tyranny from untold billions. We, as a nation, have elevated the international standard of living beyond what most would have believed possible even 50 years ago.
I shudder to think what this world would look like were it not for America. Europe entirely encased behind the Iron Curtain or more likely, still under control of the Third Reich. The entire western Pacific, to include Austrailia, under the control of the Empire of Japan. Talk to people who lived under Japanese rule. Absolutely tragic and hideous conditions. You laugh, but who else could have defeated them? Who?
Most of you are too young to remember just what a very real threat the Communists, facists, and dictators were/are.
Were the United States not there to stem the tide of evil governents there would have been no stopping their advancement. For those of you who dismiss this and say, 'so what', go visit a communist country. Go see just what it is like to live under constant fear and REAL oppression is like. Go live in a country where the police state controls your every action and thought. I have seen this with my own eyes and would suggest many of you do the same for your own education.
It is easy to look at the world from the nice, safe, cozy bubble in which we live and talk about how terrible we are. But once you get beyond our borders, and our allies borders the world becomes a much different and much more dangerous place.
While we may be far from perfect, we have done MUCH to be proud of. We have provided the good people of this world hope while giving the enemies of freedom and self-determiniation very real reason for pause.
May God continue to Bless America, in spite of the liberal/social attempts to secure the contrary.
