it's in the new Car And Driver mag. granted there will be a new 6.2L SOHC V8 with 400hp but pretty much everything else will stay the same. Gt gets the 4.6 3v and the 4.0 aint going anywhere. can anyone put sum pix or the artical up on this cuz i dont know how to do tht kind of crap on a computer.
The 2010 Mustang is getting more than just a facelift. All info points to the 3V 4.6 being replaced by a 3V 5.0 making around 350hp.....and the 4.0 being replaced with the 3.5 making about 265hp. Then there's all the hype and talk of an ecoboost V6 (twin turbo) making 320-350hp......5.0 numbers with much better MPG. Then there's the big boy "Hurricane/Boss" motors that we keep hearing about. I could go on...
Only thing I'm curious about right now is whether Ford is sticking with the live axle or upgrading to IRS to compete witht the Challenger and Camaro.
they better use a 5.0 and a 3.5. man a 3.5 would send the base stang 0 to 60 in like 6.3 seconds. the 5.0 will prob do it in 5 seconds lol. and eccoboosts are amazing.

you do know that the 4.6 3V does it in 4.9, right?

I like the looks of the current S-197 better than the pic on the cover of Car and Driver. But that's just my humble opinion.
Does anyone else think that C & D's article reaks of speculation and nothing more? I mean if you are the folks at C & D, why not put the 2010 Mustang on the cover of your magazine? I'm sure they did it in the hopes that all of the Mustang faithful out there would buy a copy. If ya ask me it was pretty slick of them. I'm sure that they sold a couple of extra copies this month w/out really telling us anything useful or even anything based on fact. I know I shelled out $ 4 bucks for their magazine just because of the pic and the headline on the cover.
The car and driver article is nothing but outdated speculation, and a really bad photoshop. Line up a picture of the KR, original 2003 concept, and the Giugiaro concept, and you have the three models they borrowed from. For one, it's got the KR wheels, the current models side views, which we know are being changed. And headlights that don't resemble anything internally that we've seen in spy shots.

well, the 0 - 60 depends on the driver and the driver conditions...but I do know that there are many who have tested it and gotten as low as 4.9...which means that the best of us should be hitting around that number.
And, ThisBlood, dude, they've already released the engines. Those engines you're talking about are the speculations and proposals that figure into the next total redesign. And as long as you expect to pay less than 30 K for your car don't expect IRS for the 'Stang...I prefer my live one anyways...can go sideways like a beast

nope, nothing offical has been released. most of the engine specs right now are pure speculation
