I really dont get it, my dad has one and its a beautiful car. He didnt buy it to get a "good deal," He bought it because he wanted another Shelby, and a real one, not a 2007 SVT Cobra with Shelbys name on it. People say its a rip off compared to a Mustang GT, but everything is almost identical to a 65 GT350. Both are GTs modded in LV by Shelby, both had moderate hp gains over the Mustang GT (GT350 was a little more though), suspension upgrades and of couse the graphics. As for msrp, a new Mustang GT is about $30K, where as a Shelby GT is $45K. A 65 GT was about $3k and a GT350 was about $4.5K. Notice any similarities? But Ill admit the hoodscoop is kinda cheap though...

If you're talking about the shelby gt then most people dog it because it costs about $10k extra for a 20 hp increase and some cheesy decals. Now if they didn't cost so much, and wasn't just a re-badged GT with an intake and gears then maybe they would get a little more respect.

Again... thats what the GT350 was. Thats my entire point. And as for the guy saying SVT could have done a better job on the GT500 than shelby.... you all ****ed up because SVT developed that car.

all shelby does now is sign his name on the dashboard. Nothing innovative. Now i heard from someone that he actually sits on every car and pass gastoadd value to it.

But you asked about the new ones. The original Carol Shelby actually had some input on the car. The new ones just have his signature stamped onto them. If they weren't $10K more than I'm sure there wouldn't be so many people hating them. For an extra ten thousand dollars I either want some serious perfomance upgrades or something nice done with the interior, or hell anything other than just decals and a stamp.
