I toke my 89 lx 5.0 to Midas because my new tire and rims are hitting the inner front bumper when I turn the wheel. The fronts are 17x8 245/45/zr17. He said the car is in allignment according to OE specs with the 15 inch stock wheels. Could not do a front end allignment with the 17 due to the back tires being bigger 275/45/zr17 17x9.  Does anybody have any suggestions on how I can get this fixed. He claims the shocks are fine and the casters are adjusted to spec.
Please any help will be appreciated....

Hey, Mike.

I would recommend taking your car to another tire shop for a second opinion. I don't understand why someone cannot do a front end alignment with larger rear wheels

Even so, I ran the SAME size tire (but 40 series) and had no issues with 2" drop and lots of clearance left. I suspect you have extreme negative off-set wheels or heavy positive camber or castor on front end (maybe all three).

Please post some pics of side view with tires straight, turned to max (both ways) and straight down the side so I can see how the front tire sits on the ground.

We gecha fixed up
