I dont think of any mustang as a sleeper, mustangs are performance cars. Sleepers are cars that perform that arent supposed to or arent made to.

This is a sleeper...

How is that a sleeper? The cam would be a dead give away. A sleeper is a car that either appears stock and slow or is not supposed to be a fast car in the first place.
There was a mid 80's Caddy around here that used to be a big street racer, the car looked pretty much stock but ran low 11's/high 10's. That's a sleeper.

or i guess you could call the one i am actually building right now a sleeper.
stock 302 rebuild kit (mostly), B303 cam, ported/polished Gt40's, Potred polished explorer intake, 60# injectors, A9L computer, built T-5 tranny, twin .60 turbos from turbo coupes. FMIC home made 3" thick. 255 lph fuel pump. etc etc

i dont know if im going to put it into a sn95/ fox body/ or a 240z

Well I plan on getting the stock hood after the turbo. The car will be pretty quiet and look stock so most will assume it is stock, soi my car will be a sleeper of sorts. I think the Grand Nationals are factory sleepers, most kids today have no idea what they are until they get ripped apart by an 11 second sixxer. As far as building one, I always wanted to get a ranger and swap in a 302 on the squeeze.

Maybe not the perfect sleeper, but only because they have a cult following and are (in)famous on the roads.

This car ran 9.27 @ ~150 mph.

This ran 12.9 @ 108 on a low boost pass, and notice the curb feelers lol
