Well it all started as a joke, a buddy of mine brought this srt-10 and of course started talking the talk (like everyone around here does, because honestly not many ppl have stangs here)... He was saying "oh it's a V10, 505hp stock, blah blah, i bet you car couldn't run w/ this"... Me being the smarta$$ i am tell him "man you have like 5k lbs under you,and itsa 6spd... and i'm at like 2900ish w/ and auto, you're crazy". Well this kept going back and forth for a few weeks, so last night was my chance. My gf and me were just riding, i roll to a light and who is it big ole SRT-10... hahaha. He heard me pull up by him and was like "wow, that b**** is loud" so the light turned green, and of course he takes the bitch way out and slams it... i let it slide. We get to the next light (the worst place in town to race) and i pull up tap the throttle, he looks over, and i give ole blue thunder a purge of giggley n20... He then got adumbfounded look on his face... We both patiently waited for the light to turn green, and it did... I launched it and automatically out on him by 2-3 cars, he just sat there spinning, i hit 2nd, and he slowly come up (barely), i slam 3rd... and there was no chance for him i was constantly pulling, thenhe just quit... We get to the next light and of course he made excuses, and i was like "yeah maybe you should try pickin on something more of your size, and learn weight to hp ratios"... and he took off in embarrassment... But yet fun.
So much for the fastest production truck -- maybe he shoulda brought a Lightning and put a KB on it... then maybe he'd a had a chance...

slow for a 10cyl... like high 12's i think. Last i ran mine at Montgomery Al. '05 (1/4)-- w/ a 5spd i went 11.60's... Prolly faster now (auto trans., Welds @ 4corners w/ slicks, & lightened up the body/chassis)

High 12s on rare occasion..think the quad cabs are mid to upper 13s...and the others running low 13s with some dipping to the 12s.. (i could be mistaken)

nah... i'm in NW Florida... Fort Walton Beach, Destin area.... about 25 miles from P'cola.
And about the n20 question.... Ummm honestly, considering i was on slicks, riding 2 deep, and the road conditions...maybe it prolly would have been a more close race... I def didn't launch it tho like i do at the track.. i just loaded up the converter, and hit WOT half way thru 1st and thats when the n20 kicked in...after that, it was game over for him.
