Anyone know how hard this would be to do yourself? I've never taken calipers off before but I really really like how painted calipers look. How much do you think it would cost me to have done at a shop?

Duplicolor makes kits that you can use yourself. I think they are about $20-30 a kit and you don't have to remove the caliper.

If I were personally going to do it, I would remove the calipers, prep them and use high temp paint and clear coat on them. Just remember that you will most likely need to repaint them after so many miles because of the wear and tear that they go through.

I used the Duplicolor kit.  Comes with brake cleaner, paint and brush.
I have a steady hand and painted mine, one at a time, on the car with no trouble.

Red would make your car look like the ketchup & mustard car.

Every city has atleast one of'em. Go yellow!

Lol, never could figure out why it wouldn't look good but ketchup/mustard explains it. Go yellow for sure.

+1 on the duplicolor kit , easy peasy.

I left the calipers on, drove thru the entire winter up here and they still shine when they are clean.

I used the duplicolor kit.  Got it for like 18 bucks at Advanced Auto.  Took about an afternoon while taking in some bud light and watching the race.  Not too hard to do at all, most fun part was trying to find where to put my jack stands!!!

I'll be painting mine sometime over the next week, I'm putting new rotors and pads on anyway, so why waste time?

I'm doing mine orange, because its my fav color, I've never seen anyone with orange-painted calipers, and im just tired of red and yellow and the like.

I also used the duplicolor kit. It was about 15 bucks at autozone. It took me about 4-5 hours too do because I had to use the jack from the car and could only do one wheel at a time. But it turned out pretty good and the paint has been holding up good. Just make sure to put a couple coats of paint on each caliper.
