well, after a long day and a buncha drama from the family, i had to go to school. OH THE JOY, turns out it was actually a good night for me and the teachers. so after sitting in math class until 10pm cst, im think im hungry and so is Melanie so we both go get our premium snack she gets 10 gal's of 93, and i get a bag of M&M's. as im getting my go juice i hear a slight rumble, thinking it's my stomach i crack the bag and pop my mm's. it was a Matrix slow mo moment and i was Neo. a 1995 Cobra in perfect condition was making the rumble rumble. i walk out the glass box and the owner is looking at me like im a fag for wanting to hump his car's tail pipe.
So Billy (cobra owner) hops out and we begin to chat, i ask him whats done, he pulls out a laminated list as long as my arm.....and literally everything is done except power adder. CAI TB TB spacer, full KB suspension, Chrome cobra R's, 306 with F cam and holley heads. etc
so we get to talking about it and he asks "wanna run" So i said "street racing is for losers and ricers"......So we head to a locale spot for car efficiandaios (sp). and line em up.
NO honks, No count, Pure reaction to the other engine revving up.....so his rev's and his DR's hook and his 3.73's propel him 1 car in front and now im spinning but making some progress, so i ease out of the pedal and shift to second to cut my loses WTF im still spinning and he put another car...So Melanie sensing our emminant defeat say **** this and she muscles through 2 and i smash third gear like i was trying to punch a midget through my dash board. This immediately stops his pull, and i begin to catch up. i peek at the speedo and im tapping 110, and we're dead even, so i powershift to 4th.
At this moment it was as if God said its time, and as im topping 120 you could almost hear the sonic boom as HER name clearly states the capability of the beautiful creature. i instantly put .5 car , then 125 im 1 car ahead, then as we push the cars to their physical limits im 2-2.5 cars ahead at 145 mph, and i was still pulling...but the road was ending.
This was by far the most fun run i've ever had, and it will be hard to top it, the only thing i wish i had was a camera man that follows me around whenever i race.

thats really sad if that cobra had what the dude claimed. my 95gt with iron gt40-p heads, stock intake and throttle body would run mid 13's. thats enough to hang with a stock auto mach1 (maybe not up top at 100+mph).
but that being said, if that cobra was tuned and running right it should put a hurting on my old gt. not calling bs on your story but maybe on the 95cobra's mods.
well, i know he had what he said, i saw it, b/c he raped my ass up till about 110, then at 120 the 302 fell flat on its face, i mean if the race woulda been to 110 he woulda had me, but we went to 145.
