Default New 2005 v6 Many Mods to Come

Hey guys I am 17 and I just bought a new 05 mustang v6. I work at a mortgage company, and saved up for a down payment, and finally was able to go and get it. I bought a sonic blue 2005 v6. I had some questions, it's a completely base line v6, and the msrp is 19,770. I got it discounted to 18,900. I was curious if anyone knew if that was a good deal, I was hoping to get more off. I already purchased Boze 20" Fatal wheels with black chrome finish. I get them on wendsday, and I'll post pics then. Future purchases will be street scene body kit (by far the best kit in my opinion) , white stripes, dual exhaust, and eventually a vortec supercharger. Was curious what other v6 owners have done for exhaust, also has anyone purchased any of those parts, thanks alot.

Congrats on your purchase. Wish I had the dough when I was 17. Do your thing to the car, just do me a favor .. dont put them fart sack sounding flowmasters on the car. Great purchase on the wheels and kits. I would probably trick the interior out with some cool door implants and dash implants (color kit) add a GPS and sat system. Nothing like dressing up the interior when you got the under the body and hood figured out. Am a proud owner of a GT so will take me more time(fundage) to do some things to mine. Already have the sat radio and tinted windows.

For 6 more grand saved up, you could of got a GT instead of tricking out a V6....

Well even with a v6 I was capped out payment wise. Iam off to college next semester, so I needed a low payment. And a gt for a 17 year old doesen't work. I have a perfect driving record and it still would cost a crazy amount per year for insurance. I do hope to get a gt after school though.

Have fun paying for a V6 until you are 22 years old

You are putting all that money into it when you could have spent that money on getting a GT. I just dont understand.

A 16 year old kid down the street drives a 350Z and he isnt even in school anymore. Works full time to pay for it and lives at home with his parents lol.

Welcome! Congrats on the purchase... a v6 isn't a bad start... I got mine when I was 17 as well and my next stang will hopefully be a 03/04 cobra or mach 1. I hope that comes sooner than later.

Anyways, don't put a body kit on there, I think if anything, go saleen or roush. Most of those other kits look stupid on there. Just my opinion though.

Best of luck.
