hi everyone, i just bought my first muscle car/mustang. its mainly stock but all it needs is a little TLC...and she will be great...
i just got it two weeks ago and it ran ok but not great ...so i proceeded to give it a tune up ...guess what the plugs were original from 1988!!! gap is to be set at .054 ..they were so burnt they were at .075+...suprised it ran..well i got that str8tned out then had to replace the turbo muffs with thrush 2 chamber because it had ran so rich for so long ...it clogged the muffs almost completely..sanded it down and primerd it up ..replcing the fuel filter tomorrow and i will be browsing the forums for minor troubleshooting help..im sure there is a welth of info on here for me to absorb..heres some pics since  i got it.  and particulars

1988 mustang GT 5.0
H-Pipe exhaust with shorty headers
thrush chamberd muffs
msd blaster 2 coil
msd cap rotor wires
the rest is stock...

thanks guys, lol yeah the primer outside is just to get by... it had numerous surface rust spots so i had to do a little bondo work and grindage...i couldnt do it in my uncles garage cuz he was sellin the house but i will be sanding it all down and doin it right as soon as i can get it indoors... just keepin the rust at bay as much as i can with what i got to work with... thanks again for the welcome..

lol,  well i want to paint it silver metallic with blue molding or the cpmpetition yellow with black molding. . havent made up my mind... it has a slight miss in it sometimes and im going thru the process of elimination righ now.. all i have left to check is the o2 sensor or the distributor itself, thinkin maybe the cylinoid that advances and retards the timing is fritzin...so thats where the moneys being spent now.. who kows...i will def b in the 5.0 section soon ...thanks
