i payed $275, but from a buddy of mine that work in a performance shop.

$350 is a pretty good price though!

gl, let us know how the car feels afterwords.

i went from 2.73's to 4.10's and it was a gigantic difference.

I'd do the install yourself and then just have them tune it for the gears....since that's the "tune" they're talking about.  Actually, I'd live with speedo being off until I could buy a Diablo for myself.  I'm sure they're only $300-400 bucks.  That way you'd only spend $100 bucks or so on the gear swap, then you could use the Diablo however you wanted, or even save that money and get a custom dyno tune, which I recommend 100%.

Don't let working on your own car scare you.  There is a whole wealth of information available at your fingertips....literally.

I've never had to do it myself but can a handheld correct your speedo also?

**UPDATE**&

Well today I ran into one of his s2k crew members lol

He comes up and is like "You gonna race blain? hes going to rape you"

I'm like "i AIN'T worried , imma put the dick on both him and you if you want it" so he drives and 03 s2k. Factory, we're on the road Im doing about 20 mph in gear "1" and the car infront of us turn and there is no cars ahead of us for now...we HIT it, and I started to pull a car ahead of him instantly, then when I think I'm about to terminate his ass a car pulls infront and I slow down, he does the vtec drive by and super over rev's his **** lol....and when I mean super I mean these cars are hard as hell to over rev and he accomplish that np. Now I think to myself "hmmm I wonder if we would of kepted going from a 20 mph roll could I have gotton him?" Than I say to myself "I really need to get these gears on " so this weekend I'm putting the gears on next chance I get. Wish me luck guys, I think I should ask him to go from a 20 mph if thats any good, but some people tell me it ain't good for an auto mustang...

Roll racing is lame and further more the S2000 has the quickest acceleration for passing speeds in a given year (up until the 04 I believe) even over the Vette. (I.E. it accelerates faster from 40-65 and 50-70 than any other car) C&D and Motortrend both confirmed it. Vette of comparable years was .2 seconds slower or something so a mustang wouldn't touch it.

And don't get me started on the weight difference. 2800 measly pounds for the S2000 vs the piggish GT at around 3400 lbs. I love GT's but an S2000 will give a new edge GT with a slush box a run.

I've raced one more or less stock, he had exhaust. And I edged out a win while 350lbs heavy. I'd say you'd win.

Considering this information,we did trade positions 3 or four times, but at 100MPH I was half a car ahead. Mustangs build up momentum and keep hold of it.
