michiganman5 -> RE: Convertible Motor / Pump - May not be BAD! Here''''s the fix! (6/9/2008 8:59:14 AM)

Excellant Question. As the other person said, you have to tap on it while someone is pushing on the switch. If your alone (which I was when it started raining one day), I had to stick a pen on the switch, with my briefcase on top of that holding it down. Didn''t have a wrench, or hammer, so I took a rock (about a pound) and rapped on it litely. I would liken the force necessary to getting it to go as that of hammering a nail into dry wall, Nice and easy! Not hard, just tapping, little harder each time until it goes. When I posted this, I thought it was a one time thing (since it was sitting so long), however, I have found it happens from time to time. I am guessing either the pump is going bad, or maybe air in the Hydraulic lines. Anyone know of a way to bleed these lines (if they think this is the problem)?
