Hello, I am looking at some mustangs to buy and came across this very nice Bullitt mustang. I was looking for a GTs, but this one is very nice and seems like it is at a good price. I read through some of the posts here about the differences on Bullitt mustangs compared to GTs and found some good information on them, but if anyone can add a couple more in there I maybe didn't know (like with suspension and engine) that would be greatly appreciated. So I was wondering is a Bullitt really any better than a GT? Are there extra things on them that add a good amount of extra value to them? Or do Bullitt's have any extra problems with the add ons compared to a GT?

By the way it is at a used car dealer and is a 2001 Bullitt mustang Black with 66,000miles on it.  What would you suggest would be a good price to pay for it?

-Thanks

full bolt ons minus headers and intake spacer. some suspension work, and a few appearance items = sex on wheels.

Bullits come with a aluminum intake manifold that helps the engine breath better. It is a much better manifold then the gt''s plastic ones which tend to crack. The aluminum intake can handle nos better. It is rated at only 5hp more then a gt but has more hp throughout the rpm range and a much flatter tq curve then a gt. you gte most of the 305 lbs of tq at 2000 rpms compared to a gt getting 302 lbs of tq at 3200 rpms. It also responds better with a jlt cai then a gt would. The intake manifold can be ported and get more hp and better throttle response. Its 1/4 inch lower (i believe) i may be off . it has stiffer suspension so it can handle better then a gt. It also has cooler speedometer ( just my opinion ) and nicer seats. With the intake manifold it makes the engine look cooler then a gt ( also my opinion ) Baisicly with the intake manifold it respons better to bolt-ons such as cai and full exhaust. And it says bullitt in the back left of license plate area which looks cooler the a gt emblem.
