I know it will vary by car, but I wanted to get a general idea.
I have been running anywhere from 15 to 18 psi in mine. My best 60' (1.8) came at 15 psi. I'm wondering if I should try 18 again or maybe even a little higher.
Also, are long or short burnouts best for these tires?

i run my et streets 26x10.5 at 16psi best 60' so far is 1.53... all i do for the burnout is roll through the water, get in the dry area, keep it in 1st apply the line-loc and start the burnout and hold it at about 5k rpms, then i release the line loc and let the car do it's thing ----but dont roll through staging.. and i typically hold my burnout until i see a nice thick cloud of smoke so therefore i know that each tire is heated fully, not just the middle or any part like that... Just my .2 cents...

any suspension work? What type of trans?
Honestly my car has stock suspension (kinda) 90/10 front 50/50 rear, sub frames, and the removal of the sway bar... When i had my 5spd i had 1.7-1.8 60' ft's w/ 2 12"s in the back, and cobra r's up front and leaving on the n20 at 4500... Now with the auto i leave at 4000, w/ the spray but dont have to worry about shiftin until right after the 60'ft mark and it helps w/out aclutch, but yes more fun.....And yes i've lightened up the cara lill bit as well.

yeah past 4k the car kinda rolls... and my best 60' so far was with the trans-brake... But i rarely use it due to having a c4, trans-brakes and c4 tranny dont really mix well from what i've heard and a past experience w/ a jw c4 []

C4's are a fine transmission, I have a PA auto w/ brake for 9 yrs.
Car has gone 1.35 60' w/ 12.5 x 28 x 15 ET Streets. 12 psi w/ tubes rims screwed to the tires. Car has quite a bit of sway at that pressure, takes a little getting used to.Start at about 16-18 and watch 60' times.
I like to really heat them up, by burning out 1st, 2nd, 3rd gear w/ linelock on in the water.
Release the linelok and Floor it (keepone eye on the tach, don't overrev it).
Gradually ease off the gas as the car moves forward(saves your axles).
Stage immediately, no dry hopping.
Make sure to line yourself up in the groove.( Did that sound nasty) or is it just me?
Good Luck!

You can never have too much power, just not enough traction.
