Dyno'd friends CTS-V
2004 CTS-V LS-6, with x-pipe, cai, andcat-back B&B...ended up with 339rwhp, lots of power lost from crank to wheels.

Type of dyno, weather conditions, engine conditions (hot or cold) all play a role. I take dyno numbers with a grain of salt.

RE: Dyno'd friends CTS-V
I STAND CORRECTED
5.7 liter, V-8 engine expected to produce 400 horsepower and 390 lb.-ft. of torque
this number seems to be pretty close to a 15% DT loss

Mustang dyno, about 70 degrees and a bit humid, car sat for about an hour before dyno, but ran car 4 times on dyno, highest numbers on 3rd pull, started out with 324rwhp, they figure he is around 440 or so at crank. So about 100hp loss.

RE: Dyno'd friends CTS-V
meh i think 440 is over estimated, maybe with a tune.

RE: Dyno'd friends CTS-V
the 339rwhp was after the tune, but I know he just guessed at the 440 HP, so who knows.
The car moves pretty good for a heavy pig! LOL

RE: Dyno'd friends CTS-V
Probably 15% loss. He dyno'd a bit low though. He should get a tune. My friend with a similar set-up dynod 355rwhp in his. He liked the tune - better throttle response.
Its a great car - competitive in SCCA T2 at 3800lbs, better handling than the GTO and SRT-8.
