I'm going for OPD and they're the highest paid in the state and they don't even make that much.

Manahawkin, NJ. Barnegat cops (my town) are paid pretty well too.

Hey OP just keep at it not everyone makes it in the first time around. And the PD's are always in a hire status. Not to mention unless you are in a poedunk town it takes forever for the process. For me it was a 6 month process......now I have two years on and in a couple more I will be making bigger bucks.

Thank you. I am going to finish my degree and luckily the same dept is supposed to start another process beginning in May, and I will apply to them then. I am only 22, so time really isnt an issue, however patience is!
