a new el camino will be pretty tight but i dont really compare cars and trucks even though some trucks are faster than mustangs... especially mine, i seperate the 2.

That body style is very popular in Australia/NZ.  Not sure if it will really catch on here though.  I kind of like it.

GM is bringing them to the States.  Made in Australia just like the G8(and previously the GTO).  It will be badged a Pontiac.

+1

The Cadillac Catera was also an Australian platform.  I have actually seen a few Lumina SS's around the Detroit area before, as well as a Holden HSV Maloo (El Camino type car).

Here is an article on it.  Will be here in 2010 and looks like the are letting you vote on how to name it.  If the enthusiasts have it their way it will most likely be named the El Camino again.

Cool.  I kinda like the lines on it to be honest.   El Camino was always the duck billed platypus of the car world, and I am glad to see it come back!

I think it's a nice idea. I wouldn't have it, but it looks nice.

V-6 is for real drivers. Go buy a Jetta if you want gas mileage and a chicks car. Buy a V-8 Mustang if you have no driving ability and need the extra horsepower to compensate and feel like you''''''''re fast.
