the fact that i DONT have a mod list should tip you off. i dont feel the need to have every single little mod in my sig. dont worry i got something for both of yall

its 100% stock i promise!! my sig told me

If we go by the car in your pic: I see a vert with a high stock stance, heavy wheels, stock brakes and no roll cage (so it can't be THAT fast).

Looks can be deceiving my friend

Nope, I see what I see. No cage, so you aren't running 11's. Stock brakes /suspenion and aftermarket Heavy chrome wheels tell me you don't know much about over all performance and haven't invested money well. With that set up, you can't launch well for certain. With that ride height, it's not an open track car. I'd guess street car. You keep hinting at power, so I'm guessing you added a blower and think you are king of the world.

How close am I?

lol no i dont have a blower. and where did i say im king of the world. all i did was comment on that chicks oberd comment about a v6 mustang (which are very slow for a v6) being able to hang with a gt.. honda civics can hang with if not beat em..thats pretty sad. then u get all butt hurt cause i told that one dude(who i know from another forum) that i would pull him.

you guys are too hotle in the v6 section lol..

but on a lighter note. about the only thing unchanged on the car is the springs. my car is set up to autocross. this is a DD car so a roll cage would be overkill.

i have:rear control arms, full length subframes, bullitt shocks/struts, panhard bar, ss brake lines, slotted rotors, aluminum driveshaft, full bolt-ons, 4.10s and all that jazz.

wednesday night i was at the track and on my first run, i was a car lenght to a saleen at the 1/8, and over all he ran a 15.1 to my 15.801 the kid told me not bad for just a GT i really think he teared up when i poped the hood and he saw it was a 6

maybe the v6s are slow, but for what they are, so are MOST GTs, come on mid 14s for a V8 "pony car", back in 98 you could get an LS1 that ran low 13s if not 12s, and a GT was still NPI then, which would be uhhh low 15s. hell a god damned v6 accord runs mid 14s

gts turn 13.9 in stock form. theres a guy in the 4.6 section that turned 13.7 stock like 5 times lol but he weights like 130 lbs er something wak like that. they are capable cars for bein a 4.6.. if u turn a 15 in a new edge u fail forever lol. thats just piss poor driving i bet the guys 60' was like 2.7 haha.

but i mean seriously, iv read a couple threads in the v6 section and even on my local forum we get into this topic all the time. u put a guy in a gt that can atleast row the boat and is an average driver the v6 will get beat by SECONDS lol. u cant base your cars image off the 2% of ppl who cant drive period on your basis for the v6 being able to hang with the gts... thats like saying a gt can beat a termi...not gonna happen haha

EDIT: but i cant stress enough, im not trying to pick a fight. this is all in conversational fun. but its comments like this:
quote:

ORIGINAL: MustangMan628

V-6 is for real drivers. Go buy a Jetta if you want gas mileage and a chicks car. Buy a V-8 Mustang if you have no driving ability and need the extra horsepower to compensate and feel like you're fast.

that give v6 ppl a bad name.. you buy a v8 to start at a good platform. this kid in town spent a couple grand on h/c/i, full boltons yadayada just to be at stock gt power.. i mean why spend all that money just to be at stock specs? i can understand if thats all you could get is a v6(i almost ended up with one) but some ppl defend em to the death. are there really ppl that think they are better? a ford v6 is nothing to brag about, just my .02

Set up to auto X on stock springs - nice. The only thing unchanged on the car is the springs is a bit of an over statement, don't you think?

And for the record, go re-read your "Looks can be deceiving" , "I've got something for ya'll"  and sig comment type posts - and then tell me you aren't hinting at more. You'll get attitude from us with comments like that. I'd be careful, because there are some of us out there who love to wipe the floor with GT/Cobra owners who talk like that.

I don't know why you would over state your mods.... you are the one who did it, not me.
I never claim anything I don't have, nor would I suggest my car can do something it can't.

haha well considering most "modded v6 mustangs can barely hang with a STOCK gt of course im going to be confident. and i never claimed i had anything i didnt so i dont understand why ur so butthurt about anything. and also, on a DD im not gonna lower it that would be stupid. i paid good money for my LTs id like to keep em undented and scraped.

BUT your welcome to drive your car down to san antonio and try your luck some time, just send me a pm when ya come down!

EDIT: and i love your sticker! do they add HP to that massive v6 power? i should totaly go get some, i would look so cool repping my BFG tires!

i hope this guy isnt the "cool guy" of the v6 section..your a straight up toolbag dude

Sticker adds nothing. I never said it did. I can get enough power out of my little V6 to be confident. That is all I need.

Do you have free time Tues ? Or if I show up in San Antonio will you be like 100% of the other V8 owners who talk smack to the little V6 guys, then when I say ok I'll be there, you don't show? Last time a Cobra owner got all whiny in here claiming he could beat ANY V6 on this forum in reverse. I called him out on it, and he never replied. I even made a post in that section to get him to show up, and he did nothing but cough up excuses.

Don't call me 'butthurt". You came in ragging on V6 cars and saying "I've got something you ya". I call you out on some little white lies you hoped to let slide and now you are crying.

And to be up front, what are you running?

My car is a 2000 split port V6 5 speed. All my mods (both motor and suspension) are listed in the sticky at the top of the V6 section. I just dropped in a new motor set up over the last couple of days. I'm not even fully fine tuned yet, but I can make it if you will.

To answer your other question, I built a V6 for a local guy with the only goal of killing modded V8s.
He got a $3000 98 V6, $300 Super coupe short block, $200 heads/lower intake, $2500 on an M112 set up, $300 used 8.8 with 3.55s and some free 4 cyl springs in the back. With a tune, he put down 440+ to the wheels and spent less than $6900 total.
My car has been with me since '02. I think this is motor set up #4 or 5 for me, three different power adder set ups, 3 suspension set ups to get where I wanted it etc etc...... So asking me how much I've spent vs how much to get a car made like mine is two different things.

and ow is what i said untrue? short of a blower.. not much i could do. and kudos dude glad u can build a car. iv spent a total of 4 grand on mods(including a sound system) with 500 bucks i could max out the stock block on the 4.6 with some juice. thats 4500 for a better sounding car with more potential lol. you cant lose with a v8 WIN WIN.

is my math wrong? 150+270=420.. thats about the sweet spot for staying reliable.. i wouldnt want to push it past that, especialy with giggle gas, and a stock lower intake.
