ORIGINAL: SilverOnyx1 I'm probably one of the older guys in the sixer forum and I have a 98 V6. I have a 98 V6 for one reason, it runs good. No engine mods and only a few cosmetic upgrades and I'm perfectly happy with my car. I grew up in the age of muscle cars so the V8 isn't that important to me anymore. I've had a 69 Road Runner that came with the 383ci engine but I put a 440 six pack in it. I've had a 1970 Camaro SS with a 350ci big block and some serious engine, tranny and rear end work done on it and I've had a Buick Skylark Custom Convertable which had a 327 chevy small block. Then again, Sunoco 260 octane was only 65 cents a gallon. I hear you. I've had pony/muscle cars most of my life. I had a 73 Mach 1 during the 73 Oil Embargo, and had V8s, right up until 90, when I got a 91 Eagle Talon TSi AWD (turbo 4). Then I got my Z-28 and next came the Eclipse GT. I like the V6 Mustang that I took over after my father died and have been enjoying it a lot. Sure, it is down in power from my Z-28 and isn't even as quick as my Eclipse GT, but it is a great looking car and does everything I need it to do. Sometimes, it's nice just to be able to be happy with what you have. Plus, not having car payments is a good thing.
