Default Insurance, a scam

I can't belive Esurance wants 250 bucks a month to insure my 1978 Mustang II, 250 a month WOW. I'm 18, PERFECT driving record, good grade discount all that jazz. But I guess having no tickets counts for nothing. It's ****ing 30 years old and still want 250 a month. OH and a ford lightning they want 310 a month. How come a supercharged v8 truck is only 60 more than a tin can N/A v8? I don't get it.

Sure i'm ONLY 18 but come on 250??

Insurance is such a scam, who needs it, what's it good for? Nothing. Does it protect you from tickets, no. It doesn't pay for it. Accidents, it really doesn't do anything for you. It's not like you couldn't make the person who hit you pay for your damage, if they don't that's why they have small claims courts, and municipal courts.

Default RE: Insurance, a scam

why should insurance pay for breaking the law?

they still aren't a bunch of angels though. several people have to get on their insurance's ass to get cash for a wrecked car or whatever payment their insurance covers.

You're 18. Statistically you're a threat.

Default RE: Insurance, a scam

My golf is $4600 (approx) a year, i turn 18 in about a week, I have 1 ticket, took drivers ed so theres that "discount"

My new car next weekend will bring my insurance down to about $4000 a year......

like ****

ive never hit anything, never come close to being in an accident

my 1 ticket was just me being a jackass doing 84 in a 50 (nothing was around (but the cop))

so i drive right now a car I paid $1300 for, and I pay $4600 a year for NOTHING

You could always find something that you can afford. You could save some money along the way and cash ina few years down the road on something sweet. Some people think that just because they can afford the car payment, that they can afford the car.
