So, I always heard how Saleen didn't have any rhyme or reason to how they numbered cars based on build date, etc... Here's one more "The Proof is in the Pudding Moment".
My car number is 46; however it was the 12th 2002 Extreme built. There were 15 Extremes with numbers higher than #46 with the last being #62 (they skipped #58).
I knew they skipped numbers (e.g. always #6), but didn't know to what extent. I know....I know, you're dying to find out that besides #58, they skipped #'s 3, 4, 6 (who knew ), 9, 10, 37 and 43.....................why you ask...................because they could!
Tune in tomorrow, same place/same time, for, "Strange and Useless Facts.....Brought to You by Mills".

That's not all that strange - counting and numbering were for some purpose that's not always clear.
If you look at the first year Saleens were made (3) Total - #032, #051, #052. On a side note, all (3) will be at the Saleen NATIONALS in Greenwood IN Aug 1-3.
Useless fact: My PJ is number 57, my engine is number 13, my PJ decal is number 15.
Now, if you take my engine number plus my decal number and subtract it from my bumper number, followed by my credit score minus my age plus my social, divided by the number of useless posts in my PJ thread, you get a steaming pile of crap!
I am the only Canadian owner living in Fullerton, California.
yes... but you must now claim to be a calanadian or a canafornian
my days thoughts are ...the opec members actually own ford, dodge, and chevy, and intentionally are making these awesome cars because they know we will drive the nuts off of them in turn sucking tons of fuel from their tits making them richer than ever, and they simply know we just cant resist this temptation
When I have my tonneau cover on, people think my car looks like the batmobile. Also...people constantly think that my bumper number (#759) is my horsepower. Maybe I should stop correcting them.

That there is not so useless....you might be onto something there Damn oil companies
So StangKing is all....."hey owner of useless information, what gives?"
Kinger's #42 just happened to be the 36th 2002 Extreme shipped (7-26-02 was a jackpot date....as 6 Extremes were shipped out from the mother ship on that date ). And, that my friend, is your useless fact for the day. Your Extreme shares the most common ship date out of all the 2002 Extremes (#'s 32, 42, 45, 48, 49 and 53 were shipped to lucky dealerships and owners that day ).
Edit of interest....I stated "build date" before. The Saleen Book only lists "ship dates"....so my useless estimates may be off .
