I live in FL too.  You see these damn things at least once every other week.  One truck had some made out of steel and he'd go over bumps and the nuts would scrape the pavement and spark... how creative?

While I think they are completely retarted and in poor taste, just WTF is florida's problem?

This is not causing a scene, it is not imparing someones ability to drive. They have NO right to make this a ticketable offense.

Hell, they should get rid of obscene bumper stickers, stickers, and liscense plates before this.

bumper stickers don't literally swing back and forth to make them noticable.  most of the time, to even read one requires getting closer at a stop light.

V-6 is for real drivers. Go buy a Jetta if you want gas mileage and a chicks car. Buy a V-8 Mustang if you have no driving ability and need the extra horsepower to compensate and feel like you''''''''re fast.

It would be great to put this on someone's car.  What are they going to tell the judge?  These aren't my nuts, I swear.

That certainly impairs MY ability to drive; I would be so disgusted I would drive off the road.

And wtf... some kids looking out moms car see that?  Or some grandma?  Hell, I am an agnostic and even *I* wouldn't want some old nun to have to see some dirty white trash and his idea of funny.

****'em.  All free speech isn't created equal.

I agree, I don't want to have to explain when my niece says what are those?

+1 for my daughter

I just thought of something.  State troopers are going to have a hay day with people from GA and other states as soon as they cross the border not knowing the law.

Fake WHAT?  Are you ****ing serious?  What kind of fag would have nuts hanging from their plates?

Is this a joke?  If not, then not only should it be illegal, but the cops should beat your ass and then let every passing motorist take a shot too.

Just about every lifted truck in texas was a pair of these.

The first time I saw those out in traffic (before I had ever heard of them anywhere) I was like "What the f-ck?"

I can't believe people actually buy those for their trucks.  Definitely good for a laugh though.

Great conversational piece in traffic too.

A law which gets you points on your license seems a little excessive, but that's a room full of crotchety old law-makers for you, I guess.

As if the real Truck Nutz aren't bad enough-- I've seen a truck here that had a set of homemade ones.  It was a sock, stuffed with two round things, and tied with a small rope to his trailer hitch.

Must be pretty bad if you can't even afford the real Truck Nutz....   "  Damb..  fifteen dollars? Walll... ah kin make me a set of those for cheeeeeper....   honey.. go get me an old sock!"

...sounds to me like people need to grow some nuts of thier own and explain things to their kids.

G: What are those?
B: Truck nuts
G: What are "truck nuts"?
B: Ornaments people but on thier cars to make it look like thier car has "power"
G: Ohh

I've always thought they look surprisingly real so good job to whoever makes giant fake novelty balls.

I think the most interesting part of this story is that Florida's government could actually move fast enough to outlaw these before they went out of style. In Alberta it would have taken five years to move this through and as if these aren't going to be history in like two years tops.
