Well study hall class, theres this guy taylor, hes a senior and he has a cobalt and he thinks its the best car in the world. His car looks like RICE. So today me and three other guys are talking about cars, and the Taylor said on saturday a guy with a v6 mustang pulled up to him and started revving it. He said he beat the mustang by just a few feet, i was like **** show me a video. Then this kid Dave was like v6 mustangs are for chicks. I was like what the hell are you talking about, some people buy the v6 for the looks and it's a reasonable price for a great looking car, if you got the extra 8 grand buy a GT. I told him the reason why I have a v6 mustang was because of insurance,gas and costs way more.
He's like the v6 mustang is a piece of **** because it has 1 muffler and it's bented downwards, I was like wow kid, race me after school, hes like ok I'll take you. His car has all this weird **** done too it, mines bone stock 07 white pony package. By the way the kid Dave has a 04 civic lol. So after school we go to this open street where nobody drives. 3 horns then we go, I couldnt get a video because I was driving but I beat the hell out of him so bad, I couldnt stop laughing. I know street racing is dangerous but this was a must race. Then I go back and talk to him and he's like It's still a chick car. He pulled off and I couldnt stop laughing at him. Why do you think people call v6 stangs chick cars? Really pisses me off.

It is what it is. I think little Cobalts and Scion Tcs are chick cars but the majority of people i see driving them are guys.
I'd get your flamesuit on if I were you though.

meh i dont see anything to get flamed about, he didnt race the SS, and other than that all the other cobalts are as slow as retards at a mathathon

wtf... i hate cobalts with a passion. if anything they are girl cars. half the girls that go to my school drive them lol. im so glad you whopped his @ss...
Theres no reason you should get flamed at all... that cocky kid was asking for it. It's not like you were out picking races with slow cars on purpose lol.

Yeah the rode we went was was about a mile of straight surrounded by corn. I just had to prove to him that v6 stangs do have some heart into them for what you pay.

For the same reason anybody bashes any Mustang... they are VERY sucessful. It could be jealousy (or they are just dicks...)
Why are they chick cars? Convertibles. v6 verts are cheap and if you go with the stereotype that many chicks want daddy to buy them a convertible.... there you have it. (I dunno its a theory)
I haven't really seen it myself. I think I've actually seen more 40+ year old women puttering around in GTs like its a Camry or Corolla than guys driving it like muscle car.  For the 6ers it's pretty much even between guys and girls around here. Whateva, they're great cars

uhhhh dont know about where you are... but my last quote for an 04 GT was $10 a year cheaper then my v6.... and my buddies 4.10 geared GT averages better milage then my v6 when it did stock
when it comes down to it....... neither car is special, you need to mod to get respect for being a v6.... and a cobalt.... yea there great uhhhh DD cars?

He raced the Civic...for those who lack reading comprehension.
The S197 6'ers run fairly well honestly. I had a buddy with one. I was almost impressed.
Anyway, you're missing the legist of this. Neither of you have a car to race. You should both just enjoy your nice cruisers and not worry about making them fast. They're not made to be fast. Make a fast car and take it to the strip. Trust me, I've been there and done it. Hell, I actually used to think that my Maxima was fast...

Wait? He raced a civic not a cobalt right? Good Kill. I hate when people talk **** about their cars when they know nothing about their competition.
I have learned this about street racing, organized street races are pretty safe when done on the right road (2 or 4 lanes) where there aren't any houses or buildings within notice for miles(lots of these places in the south and around farming areas). But this also includes lookouts(people) for other cars at a safe distance. With these guidelines, it's very safe as long as the 2 people racing know how to control their car. I'm sure there are other safe possibilities (empty warehouse/other-things huge parking lots, etc) but I don't feel like stating them. Just something I thought about
